When Dr. Bahrami became a physician he had no idea where it would take him. As a committed Primary Care Physician, he found no option but to expand the practice beyond traditional Internal Medicine. This change was fueled mainly by patient demand. The fundamental change in how we view health must be on prevention and quality of life. Essential Medical Clinic was built arround that idea, improving healthy living, and providing all the services patients should expect from their Primary Care Physician in today’s world.

Medical Training
Bahrami began his medical career at the University of New England in Maine. He completed his medical school training there in 1996. A year later, he attended the UC Irvine-San Bernardino County Medical Center, where he received extensive surgical training.
In 1999, Dr. Bahrami went to the south of Spain for 6 weeks to work as a physician for a major cardiac care hospital. From his experience abroad – including 2 years living in Spain as a teenager – he is now fluent in the Spanish language.
In 2001, Dr. Bahrami completed Internal Medicine training at the University of Connecticut. Shortly after, he took on a hospital-based practice until 2003. He treated the very ill and provided medical care to the uninsured – including critical care medicine at a major medical center.
From there, Dr. Bahrami’s medical career took a slightly new course as he went on to learn cutting-edge treatments including Lipotherapy, from the pioneers of the medical cosmetics field in California and Arizona.
Finally a year later, Dr. Bahrami established his own private practice in Downtown Los Angeles. It became the fastest growing primary care practice in the area.
Cosmetic Services and Aesthetics in Los Angeles
As he took on more and more patients with different needs, he decided to offer medical grade, and physician supported, cosmetic services as demanded by his patients. It is at this time that Dr. Bahrami understood and developed the concept of integrating cosmetics and aesthetics as an extension, and an integral part of primary care medicine. This integrated and complete concept is now Essential Medical clinic in Los Angeles, downtown area.
The new expanded office now offers complete services, integrating important basic medical evaluation to emphasize prevention, and a complete array of weight loss services and anti-aging strategies.
Dr. Bahrami is also a member of the American Society Bariatric Physicians, making him one of the experts in the Weight Loss and Obesity field.
